(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 7 - Russia "welcomes the Vatican's
attempts to facilitate an end to the conflict in Ukraine" and
recognises the Holy See's "sincere desire to facilitate the
peace process", Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria
Zakharova told the Tass news agency Wednesday.
But she aid that so far the Vatican has not yet taken "concrete
steps" towards a visit by peace envoy Cardinal Matteo Zuppi to
Moscow, following this week's visit to Kyiv. (ANSA).
