Pope thanks well wishers

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 7 - Pope Francis on Wednesday thanked the well wishers who wished him a speedy recovery after his abdominal surgery, Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said.
    "Pope Francis is alert and aware and is grateful for the many messages of closeness and prayer that have reached him since the beginning", said Bruni, the director of the Vatican Press Office. (ANSA).
