(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 29 - Finance police on Monday seized
around 80 million euros in assets from three entrepreneurs who
hade previously been arrested over the so-called Petrolmafie
(petrol-mafia) case into alleged infiltration of
organized-crime. syndicates in the fuel sector.
The police seized control of 20 companies, 60 properties, 86
vehicles and a million euros in cash from the entrepreneurs
based in the southern province of Reggio Calabria.
The assets were in impounded in Piedmont, Lombardy, Trentino
Alto-Adige, Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Campania, Calabria and
Germany.
The three were among 56 people arrested in an operation linked
to the Petrolmafie case in April 2021. (ANSA).
