(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 5 - Late soccer legend and former Napoli
midfielder Diego Maradona 'thanked' the team for its Serie A
title victory on Thursday on Instagram on Friday.
"Thanks boys" read a post on the account managed by his
children, accompanied by a photo montage showing the Argentine
player walking through the streets of Naples decorated to
celebrate the third Italian premier league title in the local
team's history.
The last victory dated to 1990, when Maradona played for Napoli.
"A new date to remember, a new joy for the city, for the people,
for history. Thanks to all of you! FORZA NAPOLI" read the post,
In Thursday evening Napoli clinched the Scudetto with five games
to spare after a 1-1 draw against Udinese gave them an
