(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 28 - The son of a victim of Italy's deadly 'Years of Lead' on Tuesday described as "wretches" the judges of France's supreme Court of Cassation after the confirmed a decision not to extradite 10 former leftist terrorists, mostly ex- members of the Red Brigades (BR) group which dominated the period of social turmoil and political violence in the 1970s and 80s.
"What is my reaction...? They are wretches, because there is no justice like this! However, it's a decision we expected from France," said Adriano Sabbadin, son of Lino, the butcher killed by Cesare Battisti's Armed Proletarians in the Veneto region in 1979.
"The judges must then tell us who the culprits are. These people have deaths on their consciences," concluded Sabbadin. (ANSA).
