(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 16 - Juventus's 15-point penalty that has seen them drop to mid-table in Serie A will be put to the Italy Olympic Committee (CONI) Guarantee Board on April 19, sources told ANSA Thursday.
The Turin giants were docked 15 points due to financial irregularities two months ago, sinking them from second spot to 10th. They have since risen to seventh on a string of victories.
Juventus fans are still in uproar after a video emerged in which a criminal prosecutor involved in the Prisma investigation into the Bianconeris' balance sheets admitted to hating the club.
The video dates back to a conference in 2019, two years before Turin prosecutors opened the new probe into alleged balance-sheet irregularities in which ex-chairman Andrea Agnelli and other former executives are probed and which has led to Juve being deducted 15 points in Serie A this season.
The 'moment of truth' for the Serie A titans' remote hopes of chasing down runaway league leaders Napoli will come at 2:30 pm on April 19 at CONI HQ in Rome. (ANSA).
