(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 7 - Juventus fans are in uproar after a video has emerged in which a criminal prosecutor involved in the Prisma investigation into the Turin giant's balance sheets admitted to hating the club.
The video dates back to a conference in 2019, two years before Turin prosecutors opened the probe into alleged balance-sheet irregularities in which ex-chairman Andrea Agnelli and other former executives are probed and which has led to Juve being deducted 15 points in Serie A this season. The prosecutor at the centre of the row, Ciro Santoriello, had requested the shelving of a previous case relating to 2015 and 2016 in which Agnelli was among five people under investigation.
"I admit that I am a big Napoli fan and I hate Juventus," Santoriello said in the video.
"As a fan, the important thing is Napoli.
"As a prosecutor I am obviously anti-Juventus, against the thieves on the pitch, and (yet) I had to write case dismissed".
