(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 3 - A three-year-old boy who wandered off from the family home near Naples Friday was found after a four-hour search by concerned citizens and police, local sources said.
The boy who went missing this morning in Nerano, in the Neapolitan area, was found in a narrow street behind the 'Quattro Passi' restaurant.
His condition is said to be good.
The boy disappeared Friday morning from his home in Via Vespucci, in Nerano, in the municipality of Massa Lubrense (Naples).
The child, Gennaro Rotoli, was wearing blue pyjamas, no shoes and socks.
The mother authorised his photo to be released in aid of the search.
Several citizens of Massa Lubrense took part in the search for little Gennaro, said Mayor Lorenzo Balducelli.
"There are many citizens who are already on the street and others who are giving their availability," the mayor told ANSA.
"We are liaising with the Prefecture and now I am also on my way to the place.
"I heard from the mother, she told me how the child was dressed, it is a very good family and we are all apprehensive," he added.
