(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 2 - Ice and snow will return to Italy
after a sunny weekend, forecasters said Thursday.
It will be fine and bright almost everywhere on the Candlemass
weekend, but winter's icy grip will return next week, said
Andrea Garbinato of www.iLMeteo.it.
"Starting Thursday," he said, "there will be four days of
sunshine but from Monday weather will worsen and snow and ice
will return".
The Azores anti-cyclone, Garbinato said, will bring sunny
conditions to the whole of the Bel Paese, with a gradual
increase in maxium temperatures.
"But temps will fall off drastically starting Monday, with
snowfall not to be ruled out over low ground also in the centre
and south of the country". (ANSA).
