More women theologians needed says Pope

(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 24 - More women theologians are needed in the Catholic Church, Pope Francis said Thursday.
    In an audience with the International Theological Commission, Francis said women could give a "different flavour" to theology.
    After thanking members for their work and blessing them, Francis suggested that "it would be important to increase the number of women [theologians], not because it is fashionable," but because women bring a different intellectual perspective to theology, which can make theology "more profound and more 'flavourful'."
