(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 12 - Serie B side SPAL have appointed
former Italy midfielder and AS Roma legend Daniele De Rossi
coach after the Ferrara team sacked Roberto Venturato.
It is the 2006 World Cup winner's first position as head coach.
He is not totally new to coaching though, as he has had stints
as an assistant to Italy boss Roberto Mancini.
SPAL are currently 14th in Italy second tier. (ANSA).
