Business confidence down to 18-mt low

(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 28 - Italian business confidence fell to an 18-month low of 105.2 in September, from 109.2 in August, ISTAT said Wednesday.
    It was the third straight monthly drop and brought the index to its lowest since April 2021, the stats agency said.
    Business confidence was down in all sectors except for construction where it rose from 155.8 to 159.5.
    Consumer confidence was also markedly down in September, ISTAT said, from 98.3 to 94.8.
    There was an estimated drop in all variables except for assessments of the family economic situation and opinions relating to savings, the national statistics agency said.
