(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 12 - Italy's Nicolò Martinenghi won the
men's 100m breaststroke at the European swimming championships
in Rome Friday raising Italy's golden haul to five after Alberto
Razzetti of Lavagna near Genoa won the men's 400m individual
medley, Giorgio Minisini became the first ever to win the solo
technical event in men's synchronized swimming, Margherita
Panziera won the women's 200m backstroke, and Thomas Ceccon won
the men's 50m butterfly.
Martinenghi, who notched a time of 58.26 seconds, beat another
Italian, Federico Poggio, into silver with 58.98 and Lithuania's
Andrius Sidluskas into bronze (59.50). (ANSA).
