(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 5 - The Fourth of July shooting in
Illinois that left at least six people dead was "absurd", Pope
Francis said in a message to Chicago Cardinal Blase Cupich, the
New York Times reported Tuesday.
Francis said he was praying that all members of civil society
"reject violence in all its forms and respect life in all its
phases". (ANSA).
