Mattarella sends Biden message for US Independence Day

(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 4 - Italian President Sergio Mattarella on Monday sent United States President a message for US Independence Day.
    "I trust that Washington and Rome will continue to strengthen the partnership that animates our joint efforts, including at all multilateral fora and within the context of the relations between the USA and the EU," said the president, recalling the long friendship between the nations and the cultural ties.
    "In the dramatic current circumstances, scarred by the pandemic and the war in the heart of Europe, the transatlantic bond has confirmed its undeniable centrality.
    "In this situation, the unity of our goals when faced the the unacceptable Russian aggression in Ukraine should be constantly strengthened". (ANSA).
