COVID: 36,282 new cases, 59 more victims

Currently positive 1,019,179 after steady recent gains

(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 4 - There have been 36,282 new cases of COVID-19 in Italy in the last 24 hours, and 59 more victims of the virus, the health ministry said Monday.
    That compares to 71,947 new cases and 57 more victims Sunday.
    Some 129,908 more tests have been done, compared to 262,557 Sunday.
    The positivity rate is up from 27.4% to 27.9%.
    Intensive care cases are up 12 to 303 and hospital admissions up 436 to 7,648.
    The currently positive are 1,019,179 after steady gains in the last few days.
    The recovered and discharged are 17,617,973, up 27,590 on Sunday.
    The case tally since the start of the pandemic is 18,805,756, and the death toll 168,604. (ANSA).
