Soccer: Serie A to get first woman ref

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 22 - Serie A will get its first woman referee this August when 32-year-old Livorno-born sociology graduate Maria Sole Ferrieri Caputi is added to the roster for the top two flights of the Italian league.
    Ferrieri Caputi has already officiated at a Serie B match and last December became the first woman to ref an Italian Cup tie featuring a Serie A side, Cagliari.
    On the latter occasion she disallowed three goals. (ANSA).
