(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 20 - Idle chatter destroys the Catholic
Church, Pope Francis told Middle Easter bishops at an audience
in the Vatican Monday.
The pope described chatter and gossip as "like woodworm" eating
away at the structure of the Church.
"Be wary of chatter behind people's backs", he said.
"If someone has something to say to another, let him say it to
his face, with charity, but to his face.
"It is a woodworm that scandalizes the faithful, spak up to one
another face to face". (ANSA).
