Man gets 6 yrs 4 mts for drugging couple, raping woman

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 26 - A 45-year-old former top Milanese estate agent got six year and four months in jail Thursday for drugging a couple with an aperitif while they were discussing the purchase of a garage on October 2 and then raping the wife in their home in front of their months-old baby daughter.
    The man, Omar Confalonieri, who had an property brokerage on Milan's chic fashion street, Via Montenapoleone, spiked the couple's drinks with massive amounts of tranquilizers, a preliminary hearings judge (GUP) ruled after a fast-track trial.
    The GUP acquitted Confalonieri of one of three charges against him, kidnapping. (ANSA).
