(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 26 - A 17-year-old boy without a driving
license hit a wild boar on a provincial road near Caserta
Wednesday night and crashed into a wall and died, local sources
said Thursday.
Police said the boar came onto the road suddenly and the boy had
no chance of avoiding it.
Increasingly brazen boar incursions into Italian cities have
spurred the government to plan a cull of the animals, also
because of outbreaks of swine fever in Rome and in northwest
Italy. (ANSA).
