School janitor found guilty of assaulting girl, 12

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 19 - A 62-year-old school janitor in Marsala was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl on Wednesday.
    The man was sentenced to five years and nine months in jail and served a perpetual ban from holding public office.
    He was also served a two-year restraining order to keep away from places frequented by minors.
    The man must also pay damages to the girl and her family.
    The janitor lured the girl, the daughter of friends of his, to an old farmhouse between Marsala and Mazara del Vallo where he raped her.
    The girl's parents reported him at the beginning of 2020.
