Pope Francis to visit Canada July 24-30

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 13 - Pope Francis will visit Canada on July 24-30, the head of the Vatican press office Matteo Bruno said Friday.
    Francis will visit the cities of Edmonton, Québec and Iqaluit, he said.
    The visit will be at the invitation of civic and ecclesiastical authorities and indigenous communities, the latter of which the pope welcomed to the Vatican recently, apologising for the treatment of children in Catholic institutes.
    Bruni said the schedule for the visit would be released in due course. (ANSA).
