(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 5 - Ukraine deserved all the support Italy
and the international community can give it after the Russian
invasion, Premier Mario Draghi told the High-Level International
Donors' Conference for Ukraine Thursday.
He said he was happy to be able to announce that Rome had
increased its funding to help Ukrainian refugees from around 500
million euros to over 800 million.
"Ukraine deserves all the support we can (give it).
"Italy will continue to do its bit.
"The war in Ukraine has caused a humanitarian catastrophe.
Millions of people, above all women and children, have left the
country to find refuge in the EU.
"We must help Ukraine". (ANSA).
