8 probed for holding woman to marry man for citizenship

(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 18 - Eight foreign people have been placed under investigation on suspicion of holding a 27-year-old Modena woman in captivity in order to force her to marry another foreigner so he could get Italian citizenship, police said Friday.
    The victim was held in a house for days in order to pressure her into marrying a 31-year-old North African, police said.
    The eight, aged between 23 and 43, have also been placed under investigation on suspicion of committing drugs offences. (ANSA).
