(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 16 - There have been 59,749 new cases of
COVID-19 in Italy in the last 24 hours, and 278 more victims of
the virus, the health ministry said Wednesday.
That compares to 70,852 new cases and 388 more victims Tuesday.
Some 555,080 more tests have been done, compared to 695,744
Tuesday.
The positivity rate is up from 10.2% to 10.7%.
Intensive care cases are down 46 to 1.073 and hospital
admissions down 475 to 15,127.
The currently positive are 1,480,113, down 70,297 on Tuesday.
The recovered and discharged are 10,633,268, up 129,888 on
Tuesday.
The case tally since the start of the pandemic is 12,265,343,
and the death toll 151,962. (ANSA).
