(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 14 - The Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics will be best in Olympic history at keeping costs down, Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) President Giovanni Malagò said on Tuesday.
"Our Olympics will be the lowest-cost ones ever," Malagò told an event on the 2026 Winter Olympics at Milan's Palazzo Lombardia.
He said one of the major challenges will be to boost transport links from the big cities to the venues of the mountain events.
"The big challenge at the infrastructure level of the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympics will be to make the distances between Milan and Bormio and Venice and Cortina as close as possible," he said. (ANSA).
