(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 15 - A 43-year-old worker was crushed to death by a forklift at a a municipal 'ecocenter' in Sassari on Friday, the latest in a shocking spate of workplace accident deaths in Italy.
It was the second such death in Sardinia in the last 24 hours, and at least the sixth in Italy this past month.
An emergency crew vainly tried to revive the man, whose name has not yet been released.
An autopsy has been ordered. (ANSA).
