(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 14 - Pope Francis was discharged from Rome's Policlinico Gemelli hospital on Wednesday.
The Argentine pontiff had been in hospital since July 4, when he had colon surgery.
The pope left the hospital in his usual car, as can be seen in an ANSA photo.
Francis tweeted: "I thank all those who were close to me with prayer and affection in the days of my stay at the hospital. Let's not forget to pray for the sick and for those who assist them".
