(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 22 - Premier Giuseppe Conte reiterated on Monday that his government was considering reducing value-added tax to help get the economy going again after the coronavirus emergency, while stressing that any such cut would be temporary.
    "There's no ready-made recipe," Conte told IlFatto.it.
"We are in a situation of uncertainty. No solution can be univocal.
"VAT is being discussed now. We said we would assess this possibility. It is clear that it costs a great deal.
"The hypothesis of a reduction for a short period of time is being considered".
Matteo Salvini, the leader of the opposition League party, said that "any tax cut will have the support of the League". (ANSA).
