(ANSA) - Rome, June 5 - A health ministry circular letter
recommends children aged between six months and six and adults
over 60 take next season's flu vaccine.
The vaccine will be free for these groups, as well as to
those people who already get the vaccine gratis, it said.
The expansion of the number of people recommended to have the
flu jab is linked to the COVID-19 emergency.
The aim is to "facilitate differentiated diagnosis in the age
groups at greatest risk of serious illness".
The vaccine is set to be obligatory for health professionals.
