Coronavirus: Lombardy, Tuscany make face masks compulsory

Other regions, including Umbria, Friuli and Veneto, considering following suit

(ANSA) - Rome, April 6 - Lombardy made wearing a face mask to go out compulsory at the weekend and Tuscany followed suit on Monday.
Lombardy Governor Attilio Fontana said the masks would soon be distributed free of charge while Tuscany Governor Enrico Rossi said the wearing of masks outdoors would be made compulsory as soon as 8.5 million of them had been distributed to citizens.
Other regions including Umbria, Friuli and Veneto said they were also considering the move
