(ANSA) - Rome, March 27 - Italy's coronavirus schools closure will be extended after April 3, Education Minister Lucia Azzolina said Friday.
"The aim is to ensure that students can return to school when it is super-certain and super-safe to make sure they can go back, health is the priority," she said.
Azzolina said distance learning should not be extended into July, however.
She said students who were due to be held back a year would be able to recoup their studies "where necessary".
