(ANSA) - Washington, March 13 - Asked if the US warning to
Berlin on Huawei's 5G is also valid for Italy, a State
Department spokesperson told ANSA Wednesday that the US warns
Italy, like all its allies, to "rigorously" assess the risks of
suppliers subject to foreign governments before taking any
decision on critical infrastructure like 5G networks.
"The projects that do not meet security standards raise
concerns for us all," the spokesperson said.
