(ANSA) - Rome, February 22 - The Lazio regional government
has intervened after reports that an eight-year-old
immunodepressed child in Rome cannot return to school since
there are five pupils who have not been vaccinated in his a
class, "two of whose mothers say they are against vaccinations".
The boy cannot be vaccinated because he has undergone
chemotherapy for leukemia.
His parents have complained to the school, located in the San
Giovanni area, because a reported 30% of the pupils in the
school have not been vaccinated.
The Lazio regional government has warned the school that it
must ensure conditions for the child to have safe access to the
facilities.
