Pyongyang says Jo daughter hated dad,no political case

(ANSA) - Rome, February 22 - Former North Korean ambassador to Italy Jo Song Gil "had not political motive" to defect and his daughter "hated her parents because they left her at home alone" and wanted to "return to her grandparents in Pyongyang" where she is now "well" albeit being "treated", Jo's successor at the embassy Kim Chon said in a letter to the presdient of the Italy-North Korea interparliamentary union, Osvaldo Napoli, refuting South Korea's claim that the girl was abducted.
    Kim accused Seoul of cooking up the claim to "hinder our relations with Italy".
