Man who hit passerby with bar cleared due to schizophrenia

(ANSA) - Milan, February 21 - A 32-year-old Cameroon man who hit a Serbian waiting for a Milan tram over the head with an iron bar three times in January last year was cleared of attempted murder Thursday after a judge said he was suffering a psychotic episode due to schizophrenia.
    Franklin Njuakeh was said to have been suffering from "complete mental infirmity" because of his schizophrenia, a court heard.
    The victim has partially lost his hearing.
