(ANSA) - Strasbourg, January 29 - The European Court of Human
Rights in Strasbourg on Tuesday asked Italy to take all
necessary measures as soon as possible to assure adequate
medical care, food and water for the Sea Watch migrants, but not
to allow them to land.
For unaccompanied minors, the Italian government was asked to
guarantee adequate legal safeguards.
On Friday the ship's captain, the head of the rescue mission
and one of the migrants asked the court to order Italy to allow
the 47 asylum seekers on board to disembark.
After this, the court sent a series of questions to the
Italian authorities and to Sea-Watch.
