(ANSA) - Catania, January 24 - An attorney who features as a
TV judge on the popular Mediaset programme Forum was suspended
from the show "temporarily and as a precaution" by its producers
on Thursday.
An investigating judge said the attorney, Francesco Foti, was
recorded in a wiretapped phone conversation with an attorney who
was arrested last week in connection with a bankruptcy probe by
the Catania prosecutor's office.
The attorney was speaking about how to set up a company in
Croatia for the purposes of tax evasion and Foti allegedly said
he would put the attorney in contact with a client of his.
Foti denied the depiction of the wiretapped conversation and
said he was "talking about a case that I was working on".
