EU can't be Franco-German led - Tajani

(ANSA) - Venice, January 24 - Europe can't be led by Germany and France, European Parliament President Antonio Tajani said Thursday.
    "Italy must play a role, we must see if the government is able to do so," said Tajani, also vice president of Silvio Berlusconi's centre-right Forza Italia (FI) party.
    "We need a strong Italy, not violent and chatty, but a point of reference for southern Europe.
    "It's no use complaining, you have to act".
