Italy must rediscover fraternity - church head

(ANSA) - Rome, January 18 - Cardinal Gualtiero Bassetti, the head of Italian bishops conference CEI, said Friday that the nation needs to regain its sense of fraternity. "We ask the Lord today to direct His look of love and mercy to His church and the whole of Italian society so that it refinds the path of concord and fraternity and so that every man and woman in this country can see their rights to solidarity and justice recognized," Bassetti said.
