(ANSA) - Palermo, December 17 - A preliminary investigation judge (GIP) in Palermo on Monday ruled in favor of pre-trial detention for the wife and two sons of Pietro Ferrera, who was stabbed to death on Friday night.
Salvatrice Spataro and her sons Mario and Vittorio were detained after the wife on Saturday called paramedics, confessing she had stabbed her husband. Ferrera, a former soldier who was dismissed from the army for psychiatric problems, allegedly abused his wife and family for years.
The man was allegedly killed during a row.
