(ANSA) - Milan, December 3 - Genoa firefighters said at the launch of ANSA's annual photo book in Milan Monday that they would soon finish recovering the goods of the evacuees from the August 14 disaster that killed 43 people.
"We're on the scene to support the magistrature," said team chief Massimo Bartolini.
The presentation at Feltrinelli Foundation was kicked off by ANSA President Giulio Anselmi.
Also present were Editor-in-Chief Luigi Contu and CEO Stefano De Alessandri.
Those present were moved by the photos of the tragedy of the Morandi Bridge collapse.
Other soon-to-be iconic photos captured the Thai cave ordeal and rescue, the birth of Italy's 'yellow-green' government, ever-unfolding migrant crisis, the struggles of the Macron government in France and the success of the French World Cup winning soccer team.
Among those present were the president of Generali insurer, Gabriele Galateri di Genola, pollster Alessandra Ghisleri, Ryder Cup 2022 project head Gian Paolo Montali, and the Genoa firefighters.
Montali said it had been "an extraordinary year" not only for British Open and European Tour winner Francesco Molinari but for Italian golf in general.
In Rome later this month the book will be presented again in the presence of TV journalist Giovanni Floris, Yazidi women project activist, Shayda Hessami, the superintendent of Pompeii, Massimo Osanna, and pollster Nicola Piepoli.
