(ANSA) - Venice, November 30 - The Soave wine country and
wine were on Friday named part of humanity's agricultural
heritage, the first winemaking citation for Italy.
The scientific committee of the Food and Agriculture
Organization (FAO) designated the area near Verona as well as
the Jowzan Valley in Iran.
Soave joined the list as 53rd global site recognised as
heritage of world agriculture according to the GIAHS programme
after a 10-year process.
