(ANSA) - Rome, November 30 - Old age now starts at 75,
doctors on Friday said at the National congress of the Italian
Gerontology and Geriatrics Society in Rome.
"A 65-year-old today has the physical and cognitive shape of
a 40-45-year-old 30 years ago", said Niccolò Marchionni, a
professor at the University of Florence and the director of the
cardiovascular department of the Tuscan city's Careggi hospital.
