(ANSA) - Assisi, October 4 - European institutions "should be
more populist, trying to better meet people's demands," Premier
Giuseppe Conte said Thursday.
Replying to EU criticism that his government was populist,
Conte said "European institutions should consider that a
fracture has been created between them and citizens".
Conte was speaking on a visit to Assisi on the feast day of
St Francis.
