(ANSA) - Rome, October 4 - The Italian Bauli company on
Thursday announced that it was conducting a recall of croissants
that the health ministry said are at risk of Salmonella
contamination.
Bauli, a statement said, "in line with its policy of maximum
protection of its consumers and the quality of its products, is
conducting a recall that is entirely a precaution" of the
croissants.
It added that the baked products in question are unlikely to
have been contaminated and that this "has been proven by
analyses and monitoring that Bauli carries out regularly on all
its products".
The company said that the precaution was only for this batch
of goods and not others or other types of products produced by
its facilities.
