(ANSA) - Rome, September 21 - Rome Mayor Virginia Raggi said
Friday she had got "an OK" for special powers from the
government for Rome after talks with Premier Giuseppe Conte.
Raggi said the talks had gone "very well".
"We asked for special powers and the fact that Rome should
have a (special) status like all other (European) capitals.
"And we spoke about the possibility that this process might
be flanked by a committee of wise men who are Constitutional
lawyers."
Asked whether approval of the special powers had been given,
Raggi replied "absolutely yes."
