(ANSA) - Rome, April 16 - Finance and Carabinieri police on Monday put the mayors of the province of Bergamo towns of Foppolo and Valleve under house arrest in relation to a corruption probe. The two mayors are accused of creating a system to obtain funding from the region of Lombardy in a fraudulent way and of fixing public contracts.
