Italy shd keep 'responsible' budget policy-Dombrovskis (3)

(ANSA) - Brussels, March 8 - Italy should maintain a responsible budget policy, European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis said Thursday. "Especially for Italy, which has the second highest public debt in the EU, it is important to keep within the parameters of a responsible budget policy," he said when asked about campaign promises such as the League's readiness to break budget limits.
    "It is important not to create negative expectations on the markets," said Dombrovksis, who is commissioner for the Euro and Social Dialogue, also in charge of Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union.
