Inflation slows to 0.8% in January - ISTAT

(ANSA) - Rome, February 2 - Italy's annual inflation rate dropped to 0.8% in January, the lowest level since December 2016, according to preliminary data released by ISTAT on Friday.
    the rate compares to 0.9% in December.
    In month-on-month terms, the consumer price index was up 0.2% on January with respect to December.
